What is a Street Workout?
It is one of the fastest-growing global trends in urban fitness, combining static and dynamic bodyweight exercises performed on multipurpose metal bars of varying heights. Unlike conventional gyms where machines isolate muscles, street workout is functional fitness — every muscle group works together as the body itself provides the resistance.
It originates from calisthenics, the oldest form of strength and endurance training, once practised by Spartan warriors to prepare for battle. The word calisthenics comes from the Greek ‘kalós’ meaning ‘beautiful’ and ‘sthenos’ meaning ‘strength’. Think of the statues of the Greek gods in Athens — lean, ripped, and powerful.
What is an Outdoor Gym?
Imagine a conventional gym, much like the one you may already visit under a gym membership. There are only two differences between a conventional gym and an outdoor gym:
The outdoor gym is free to use, as it is publicly available, typically in an easily accessible outdoor space.
The type of machines and equipment differ in that unlike conventional gym equipment, the weights cannot be physically removed from the machines. They can only be redistributed in accordance with the users’ own strength or comfort level. This design protects against injury, theft and vandalism.
What is Parkour?
With origins in military obstacle training, the aim of this sport is to navigate from one point to another in a complex environment in the fastest and most efficient way possible.
Parkour includes a combination of movements such as running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, crawling and balancing. It involves seeing one’s environment in a new way and imagining the potential for navigating through it by movement around, across, through, over and under its features.
What is a Climbing Wall?
Climbing Wall is a versatile feature that brings the challenge of rock climbing or bouldering into a safe outdoor setting. Installed to a controlled height, they can be enjoyed without ropes or harnesses, making them a unique alternative to traditional playgrounds. Climbing walls help young people build endurance and functional strength while also improving balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. They deliver a whole-body workout that is both engaging and fun, encouraging repeat use and friendly competition.

What is Trampolining?
Trampolining offers an exciting mix of fun and fitness, using in-ground trampolines built with strong frames, springs, and all-weather mats. The no-maintenance factor combined with the high engagement levels makes these a fantastic component to integrate into your own custom multi arena design. From industry experience, they are known to be extremely durable and hugely popular with youth, providing a safe and energetic outlet that encourages regular use.
